Ramen Kazu: Bratislava's oldest ramen spot, still the benchmark

By Adam Šimko · 18 July 2026 · 1 min read

Ramen Kazu

Ramen Kazu was the first restaurant in Bratislava to focus entirely on Japanese ramen, and even with more competition since, it's still the reference point everyone else gets compared to.

What to try

The tonkotsu, shoyu, and miso broths represent three distinct flavour directions worth working through over multiple visits. Gyoza or pan-fried edamame make a good starter alongside the bowl.

Atmosphere

A small, no-frills space on Panská near Hviezdoslav Square, built around the food rather than lingering — standard for ramen shops in Japan too.

Good to know

Expect a short wait at lunch and dinner — capacity is limited. Reservations generally aren't taken; it's first come, first served.
