Colette: French fine dining with the soul of Paris in central Bratislava
By Lenka Ondrejková · 30 July 2026 · 1 min read
Slovakia doesn't officially have a Michelin-starred restaurant yet, since the guide hasn't extended coverage to the country. The reference benchmark locally is the Falstaff guide instead, and Colette holds one of the highest scores in the country there — 94 out of 100.
What to try
The tasting menu is the clear choice over à la carte — creative French cooking built on seasonal ingredients shows best across a multi-course format with a wine pairing.
Atmosphere
An intimate, elegant space in the Old Town, built for a slow, multi-hour dinner rather than a quick meal. Service matches the level of the kitchen.
Good to know
Open Tuesday to Saturday, evenings only. Given the limited capacity and the restaurant's reputation, booking ahead is close to essential.

Gatto Matto Panská
Dough with a subtly fermented texture and a micro-crispiness that's hard to find elsewhere. Long one of the city's most loved Italian addresses.

Open since 2015, it's usually the first name that comes up when you ask locals where to get the best burger in town. Eco-farm beef, hand-cut fries.
